App Studio Editor Enhancements

Building custom apps in Domo should be an intuitive and fast process. We've heard your feedback on the friction in the editing journey and have rolled out significant enhancements to the App Studio editor to create a more fluid and powerful workflow.

These updates are designed to eliminate interruptions, support quick adjustments, and give you more control as you build and refine applications. Key improvements include:

• Undo/Redo: Easily reverse small mistakes without losing your flow. ‍
• Stay in the editor: Bulk save all your changes without being forced to leave the editing experience. ‍
• Simplified navigation: Configure navigation at the top or bottom of your app and easily rename or add new pages. ‍
• Direct chart access: Drag and drop charts directly from the left-hand pane. ‍
• Quick adjustments: Make quick chart edits using Analyzer in the right-hand panel without needing to switch editors. ‍
• More customization: Enjoy greater control over your app layouts with no-scroll page settings and margin adjustments.

Its powerful editing capabilities empower you to dig into your numbers without switching between platforms or navigating complex systems. This is especially helpful for those who may find building a complex app or dashboard daunting. With Worksheets, you can provide a managed environment for data exploration, granting users the ability to create and edit their own analyses without needing full app-building permissions.

Report Builder for PDF (coming soon)

Domo's Report Builder now includes the highly anticipated PDF export functionality, enabling you to create and distribute professional, pixel-perfect reports. The intuitive, drag-and-drop canvas offers a new level of control for customizing layouts with unique headers, footers, and logos that align with corporate branding.

A key innovation is the automatic pagination for long tables, which eliminates truncated data by adding new pages as needed while keeping headers locked for readability. This feature integrates seamlessly with Domo’s governance framework, using existing PDP policies to automate the secure distribution of personalized reports.
