Pro Code Components: API Updates

We are excited to announce a series of backend updates for Pro Code Components, designed to significantly enhance the developer experience and expand the capabilities of your custom Domo applications.

These updates create a more robust, secure, and responsive framework for app development. Key enhancements include:

• Reliable state syncing: A new Launch Form and an Ask-Reply Architecture uses POST messaging and acknowledgements to reliably synchronize page states (like Filters and Variables) between your app and Domo. ‍
• Modernized app bridge: The updates leverage modern technologies like MessageChannel and custom Domo tooling. ‍
• Enhanced security: The updated framework enforces message typing and formatting, adds timeouts to prevent hangs, and automates user context for a more secure app environment. ‍
• Boolean properties: Unlock advanced features like camera access for QR code scanning, geolocation for location-based analytics, and microphone for voice input. Available properties include allowGeolocation, allowCamera, allowMic, allowBluetooth, and allowNFC.

Importantly, these are user-controlled settings that your end users can opt into, ensuring transparency and control over their data and device permissions.
