Using Beast Mode to Build Data Storytelling

Beast Modes are a terrific way to create new, calculated fields within your dataset using your existing data. You can combine multiple columns to calculate a new data point and support deeper analysis. Sweetwater Sound is using custom Beast Modes to tell data stories based on their sample invoices and line items. Through Domo, Sweetwater Sound has enhanced its data visualization using hyperlinking, product images, and new calculated fields around processing time and determining if an invoice was delivered on time by adding business days to calculate an estimated delivery date. In this session, we’ll explore how to perform custom period-over-period calculations. We’ll use custom-defined offsets like year-over-year with the day of the week aligned and include custom text coloring and formatting. In this session you’ll learn:
