Filter and Variable Enhancements

We’ve been listening to your feedback and have made several small but impactful updates to filters and variables within Domo’s apps and dashboards. These updates will roll out on desktop as part of this release, with mobile availability coming soon in a future update.

Date Variable enhancements

Managing date comparisons just became smoother for Domo users.  

With the new Date Variable enhancements, you can now define dynamic rolling default days directly in your apps and dashboards. This means no more repetitive manual selections every time you access or refresh your dashboard. Instead, your applications and dashboards will default to the most relevant day (like "today" or "yesterday") automatically, making your workflows faster and more efficient.

This feature is designed to save you time, reduce friction, and ensure you stay focused on insights rather than configuration.

Advanced Date Filter Control

We've streamlined how you review financial sales by enhancing date range filters in Domo Apps and Dashboards. Now, you can exclude the current period from your data with ease.

• New “Previous” option: Quickly exclude today, this week, month, or quarter to focus on completed timeframes.  

• Relocated “Last” option: Now conveniently at the top for quick access to include the current period in your analysis.

These updates are designed to simplify your workflow and provide more flexibility when analyzing performance.

Now, when working with thousands of unique filter values, you can select a specific column and apply the “Contains” filter to quickly narrow down matches. No more time wasted scrolling or searching through endless options.
