SHOWPASS UNLOCKS REAL-TIME EVENT TICKETING INSIGHTS WITH DOMO
In a world that is increasingly lived online, there’s still nothing like experiencing a live event with thousands of new friends. To help fans connect with the live events they love, Showpass has built a modern ticketing platform that makes it easy for venues and event organizers to manage sales and create a better experience for everyone.
Using Domo, Showpass provides more than 30,000 clients with the data they need to better understand their audience so they can maximize engagement and revenue.
“We didn’t know what we were missing out on until we started using Domo,” said Cam Amantea, senior finance operations analyst at Showpass.
Delivering insight at scale
As a fast-growing, innovative technology platform, Showpass serves venues and event organizers across North America, Europe, and Australia. However, its previous BI tool lacked the ability to easily share data with clients, requiring manual, one-off reporting that was impossible to scale over the company’s 30,000+ clients. Not only that, but minimal support left Showpass’ internal teams without the help they needed to maintain reporting or troubleshoot issues.
With Domo, Showpass is able to deliver embedded dashboards across its entire client base , no matter where they are in the world. Each of its clients can now access personalized, real-time data about ticket sales, season pass demand, attendance, and more.
“It’s been great for our clients to be able to get access to analytics and look at trends, which we weren’t able to provide before. Our clients have seen huge benefits in the speed of reporting and their ability to get a snapshot at any time,” Amantea said. “At the end of the day, we want them to be able to use data to plan next year’s event in a better way and have a better understanding of their customer base.”
In addition, Showpass created a new revenue stream by offering premium dashboards as an add-on solution tailored to the needs of different verticals, like sporting events, musical festivals, and seasonal transactions. Clients can opt for custom dashboards that are personalized for their unique venue and workflows.
“In the ticketing business, one of the most important items for our clients is having live data. Domo lets us offer all our clients critical data while creating an upgrade funnel to unlock further insights for clients who need specific data points,” Amantea said.

Turning data into a differentiator
Showpass also uses Domo to improve its client support by providing the customer support (CS) team with a single source for all the company data. This allows them to provide instant answers when customers call, eliminating the time wasted searching for information. In addition, the CS team connected Domo to its payment processor, Stripe, to help automate the detection of fraudulent transactions, which used to be a manual process.
“Our CS team doesn’t have to sit at their computer and go through data transaction by transaction anymore,” Amantea said. “What used to require a dedicated person for managing fraud is now just a 10-minute check per day for flagged transactions.”

Domo is not just a data tool but a competitive differentiator that Showpass can highlight in RFP responses. By including visuals, like stadium heat maps, Showpass demonstrates the level of insight it can deliver to prospective clients. This allows the company to go after larger prospects where advanced analytics are table stakes, while also appealing to smaller clients with leaner staffs who want to leverage data but don’t have the time or resources to build solutions themselves.
“Domo gives our sales team more ammo when going into some of these RFPs. It’s a differentiator that gets us past the first round of an RFP review process,” Amantea said. “Domo helps our sales teams open a lot of doors and have more success with clients. With our advanced analytics capabilities, it’s given us a 20 percent increase in new business opportunities for large RFPs we never really got a sniff at before.”
Moving forward, the team is exploring how it can use Domo.AI to power new experiences for its internal teams. For example, an AI analyst could send a weekly summary email to executives and team leads recapping key KPIs, identifying trends, and answering common questions.
“Right now, all those questions come to me. If we can build an AI analyst to answer a lot of these questions, that would be a big win for me and the team. Domo lets us do a lot of things we probably never thought we’d be able to do otherwise,” Amantea said.
