Admin and Governance

SSO Configuration
We’ve simplified implementation with our updated Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration. This update features a more intuitive interface, complete with clear dropdown menus, industry-standard terminology, and helpful tooltips to guide you through the process. Administrators can now configure SSO independently, reducing reliance on support teams and enabling faster, self-serve implementation.
Now generally available, the upgraded SSO interface allows you to focus on the governance and administration tasks that matter most, without the hassle of complicated setup processes.

Roles Allowlist

Managing user roles no longer needs to be a burden. With Roles Allowlist, you can now handle them effortlessly—and with total peace of mind.
Traditionally, assigning user roles required admin-level permissions, placing the responsibility on administrators. Roles Allowlist changes that by allowing administrators to safely and securely assign roles to non-administrators.
How it works:
- Use Role Allowlist to define which roles can be assigned by users with the “Assign Users to a Role” grant.
- Users with the “Assign Users to a Role” grant are limited to assign roles defined in the Roles Allowlist, ensuring controlled and secure delegation.
- Meanwhile, users with the “Manage All Roles” grant can assign any role and customize the Roles Allowlist, offering administrative flexibility while maintaining appropriate controls.
By reducing administrative load and enabling faster, more efficient role assignments, Roles Allowlist lets you work smarter, not harder.

Data Refresh Permissions

Good news for Major Domos and administrators: managing consumption spend has never been easier. Uncontrolled data updates can lead to unnecessary spending, whether caused by users unaware of the impact of their actions or those not authorized to configure settings that drive costs. The new Data Refresh Permissions feature puts the power back in your hands by allowing admins to set clear permissions and reduce future usage where needed. Now, you have greater control over future credit usage to prevent unintentional or unauthorized costs.
So, how does it work? Admins have the ability to set permissions for Connector and DataFlow scheduling frequency options available to users or groups. By dialing back update frequency, you can effectively “ratchet down” future usage, maintaining full control without disrupting essential operations.
This feature is located in the Governance section within the Administrative Panel, and it can also be accessed via the Credit Utilization tab. To learn how to use Data Refresh Permissions in the Knowledge Base.
