Unlike many data leaders who come from strictly technical backgrounds, Data Hargens' journey into data and analytics started on the business side—as a data consumer. He experienced firsthand the frustration of not having access to the right data at the right time. That challenge led him to pivot his career toward data strategy, governance, and analytics, ensuring business leaders get the insights they need to make real-time, informed decisions. Now, as senior manager of business insights & analytics at Yum! Brands, he leverages his deep operational, financial, and project management experience to build data ecosystems that serve business needs—not just IT objectives. Most organizations struggle with data silos, misaligned priorities, and technology-driven (instead of business-driven) data strategies. Having spent years leading EPC projects, financial oversight, and operational efficiency initiatives, he ensures that Yum! Brands' data strategy isn’t just about dashboards—it’s about solving real business problems.

As part of the team at Yum! Brands, Levi Butler works closely with the senior manager of business insights & analytics to develop and enhance data ecosystems that are designed with business needs at the forefront. Drawing from his background in process improvement, he applies methodologies like Lean and Agile to streamline data workflows, minimize inefficiencies, and ensure that his systems can scale to meet the growing demands of the business. In his role, he focuses on data engineering, building robust pipelines and architectures that support business decision-making in real time. His experience in operational efficiency allows him to design solutions that not only solve technical problems but also ensure data is actionable and easily accessible to those who need it most.
